Blue Pearl

Beautiful view of the beach. Maintenance did not respond to our issue of no “ hot” water. We called twice and each time the front office said that they would notify maintenance. They never showed. At best, we would get lukewarm water for our showers. It was hard to bathe our 20 month old grandson with no hot water.

This was the perfect venue to host my Girlfriends 40th Birthday Party. I hired a local chef to prepare our dinner and invited a few close family members participate. We all had a lovely time. The Beach house was beautiful. Three spacious floors of rooms and seating areas. Enough room to accommodated us and the few family members who may have been a little to intoxicated to drive back to San Antonio after the party. It rained the whole weekend we were there, but the views from the balconies of the beach house were excellent, so we didn't mind the rain so much. I also appreciated the elevator, because having to haul all our stuff up two and three flights of stairs would have been a pain. All-in-all I loved it. Pricey, but worth it.

Blue Pearl is in a great location, right by the walkway to the beach. That was important because the beach at the area is very sandy compared to other years, not packed down, so driving without a 4- wheel vehicle risky to get stuck. However, of course, we set up our tents and had a great time. Also there is a lot of seaweed drifting in from Gulf at this time close to the shore to be aware of. The house is very nice and roomy. We spread all ten of us out in different rooms, relaxed, and enjoyed the waves. Upstairs deck was great, we had singing fests, until the neighbors complained they didn't like our music. (I guess I will now have to take singing lessons)! The only problems we had at the house was we couldn"t find any bed linens for the extra couches and some beds were lumpy. All in all, this is a good place, in a nice quiet location, fit for fun and enjoyment! We just love hearing compliments like this from our treasured guests 🙌 #Silversands.

Our large family had been wanting to rent The Blue Pearl for years and we were excited to have it this year! The floor plan was perfect for us and we loved the close proximity of the cart accessible boardwalk, beach and community pool. The view was great and the large balcony had ample comfortable furniture. Outdoor shower was nice for the kids. But sadly can only give a 3 star rating from the lack of or terrible condition of amenities. We walked in to the living area and there were dying winged Ants all over the floor that had to be swept up. The air conditioner was not working properly and it was 79-80 degrees inside. We did call after hours maintenance and they promptly fixed the problem. I tried to keep the floors swept up each day but the brooms were so old and terrible that even that minor chore was difficult. All the non stick pans had the coating scratched off and there was no sponge or scrubber to clean dishes. We had 2 dishwasher pods for 4 nights and only 8 bath towels all of us! I had to call Silversands for more towels and we had to drive to the office in Port A to get them. There was ample toilet paper but only one roll of paper towels and NO replacement trash bags and a broken hand crank can opener so we had to go buy all these items. Light bulbs were burned out in the downstairs bath, kitchen pendants and dining chandeliers. Kitchen cabinet door was hanging on one hinge. We were so surprised that this expensive and beautiful house was had such a shabby kitchen. Sadly, won’t be coming back to this one!

it was a nice house but the furniture is in pretty rough shape as well as lots of bulbs being out and just things here and there that for the price should be taken care of.
