Reservation Process

Why should I choose Silver Sands Vacation Rentals?

Silver Sands provides the best service and vacation rentals in Texas. We are staffed by local Vacation Planners and a full-service Operations team, who provide 24-hour support if an emergency arises during a guest stay. 

Book direct and save! By booking directly through Silver Sands Vacation Rentals, either via our website or over the phone with a local Vacation Planner, guests will always receive the best rate available and save on fees from third-party sites.

For reservations booked over 45 days prior to arrival, a down payment of $300.00 ($1,000.00 if reservation total is over than $4,000.00) is required at the time of booking. If arrival date is within 45 days, reservations must be paid in full at time of booking.
Guests may login to their Guest Portal at anytime to make payments on their upcoming reservation, but the remaining balance is due 45 days prior to arrival.

Silver Sands Vacation Rentals does not accept bookings from guests under the age of 25. A 25+ guest must be present at the time of check-in and must be staying at the property throughout the duration of the rental. 

Our team will email you your online rental agreement that will need to be electronically signed, along with information on travel insurance and any other pertinent details needed for your stay. 

On your rental agreement you will find a Damage Waiver fee listed in your booking charges. This fee is taken in lieu of a larger refundable security deposit, and is non-refundable. This fee offers you, our guest, as well as the owner of the home protection against accidental damages, up to $1500. Please note, a refundable cash security deposit cannot be accepted in lieu of this fee, as this protection plan is designed to simplify the claim process, if a claim must be made, for the owner of the home. 

 
  • 30 Days or More Before Check-in: If we are notified of your intent to cancel 30 days or more before your check-in date, you will receive a refund minus our service fee, travel insurance, and taxes.
  • 15-29 Days Before Check-in: If we are notified of your intent to cancel 15-29 days before your check-in date, you will receive a refund minus the service fee, travel insurance, taxes, and 50% of the total reservation rent.
  • 14 Days or Less Before Check-in: If we are notified of your intent to cancel 14 days or less before your check-in date, there will be no refunds issued.

Check-In & Check-Out Process

What time is check in?

Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. You may request an early check-in; however, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to fulfill your request.  

Silver Sands Vacation Rentals is located at 2217 State Highway 361 Suite B, Port Aransas, TX 78373.  

The contracted Guest must be present at check-in and provide ID. If alternate arrangements are necessary, please contact us in advance, so we may let you know if we’re able to make other arrangements.
You may be asked to provide a government-issued license and vehicle information (make, model, color, license plate information).
Check-out is at 11:00 a.m. You may request a late departure; however, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to fulfill your request. 

Trip Planning

Are additional guests allowed at my vacation rental?
All properties have established Maximum Occupancy limits, as listed in the Rental Agreement. At no time during your Reservation Dates are Guests to exceed the Maximum Occupancy for your Rental Property. Occupancy is defined as the total number of people at the Rental Property at any given time, not only overnight guests. All guests, including daytime visitors, must be registered on your Guest Registration.
  • All linens such as sheets, pillows, pillowcases, comforters/duvet covers (flat sheets, pillow and pillowcases are also provided for sleeper sofas). 
  • Each bathroom is stocked with bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths and bathmats (we provide 1 bath towel per guest with an additional 2). A starter kit of shampoo, conditioner and bars of soap are included. 
  • Every home has a fully equipped kitchen. You will have all the basics including cookware, utensils, table settings and common appliances like stove, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. 
  • A starter setup of two trash bags, one roll of paper towels, toilet paper, dish detergent pods, dish soap and sponge (we suggest you bring additional of these items). 
  • Food products, spices, condiments and other basic cooking supplies like flour, sugar, etc. 
  • Extra trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper 
  • Coffee and coffee filters 
  • Cleaning supplies (other than dish soap) 
  • Laundry Detergent 
  • Beach Towels 
Parking is included at every property, but make sure you check to see how many vehicles can park at the property you’re renting. Although please review the parking allowance at the property when you book, Port Aransas is very strict on parking enforcement. 
Most of our properties are pet friendly; however, please inquire about the specific property you are interested in to be sure. All pet friendly properties require a nightly pet fee of $50-$100 depending on which property. If you do choose to bring your pet you are responsible for controlling excessive noise caused by the pet (i.e., constant loud and uncontrolled barking). SSVR will give a warning upon the first complaint by a neighbor. At this point, you must take every reasonable measure to control the noise problem (i.e., close windows and doors and do not leave pet unattended at any time). Additional complaints will result in an early termination of the rental contract with no refund given. 
Each property is individually owned and it is at the owner’s discretion to allow any “event” hosted at the property during your stay. Events include but are not limited to: weddings ceremonies/receptions, birthday parties, family reunions, and any other large gathering that exceeds the predetermined maximum occupancy of each individual property. All events must be pre-approved with Silver Sands Vacation Rentals prior to reservation confirmation. Failure to do so will result in immediate eviction with no refund.
