Our bungalow was adorable. It has been renovated since Hurricane Harvey but has kept an authentic “vintage” island vibe. Very clean, bed was comfortable small bathroom but shower was large. Small sitting area on the porch was perfect. There was a small porch off the back door which did not have chairs but overlooked a small courtyard with a patio set. The courtyard was smaller than in the pictures but we were busy so not an issue. The location was perfect! Grocery store, restaurants and ice cream shops all within walking distance. Cons: we had “sugar ants” on the counter. So just clean up after yourself and you won’t have a problem. Window coverings are simple and compliment the vibe but you will be up early. Again not a problem for us. AC had difficulty keeping the bungalow cool throughout the night. We left early and were gone most of the day so not a problem for us during the day but I’m not sure it would have kept us cool during the heat of the day. The bungalow is also close to a nightclub. We could hear the music at night but this didn’t bother us too much. Parking was our biggest inconvenience. I called prior to booking to make sure there would be adequate parking for a long truck and a med size “bay boat” because street parking was not allowed. I was assured there was plenty of parking in front of our bungalow. If it were not for the kindness of our fellow rental neighbors moving their vehicle up, we would have had no choice but to block them in with our truck to stay off of the street. My husband had inches to spare on either side of the boat and the porch of the bungalow. A non issue if you don’t have a larger truck and boat or are comfortable parking the boat at the marina or other offsite location. Overall, we had a great experience with a few minor inconveniences. A perfect getaway for 2

Air conditioner goes in and out and the trees/vines are growing up through the porch. The bar down the street is popping so if you’re a light sleeper it’ll keep you awake. For someone who’s coming to get all the fish in the gulf this place will do just fine. Shower gets hot and the bed isn’t worn out.
